How to Launch Your Website in a Weekend with a Template

How to Launch Your Website in a Weekend with a Template

A beautiful website doesn't have to take months. With a ready-made template and a simple plan, you can go from "I really need a website" to live in one weekend, without writing a line of code.

The weekend plan

Friday evening: gather your words, photos and logins.

Saturday: install your template and make it yours.

Sunday: check every page, connect your domain and launch.

Gather everything

The biggest time-waster is stopping halfway through to hunt for a photo or rewrite your bio. Tonight, put everything in one folder so the weekend is just building.

Your folder
  • Logo (PNG with a transparent background)
  • Brand colours (hex codes) and fonts
  • Photos, renamed clearly (about-me.jpg)
  • All your page text in one document
Your logins
  • Hosting or Shopify account
  • Domain account (where you bought it)
  • Email address for contact forms
  • Social media links

Make the template yours

  1. Install the template. Follow the install guide that comes with it. This is usually the quickest step.
  2. Set your brand once. Add your logo, colours and fonts in the global settings so every page updates together.
  3. Swap the photos. Replace the demo images page by page. Keep similar shapes (portrait or landscape) so layouts stay balanced.
  4. Write over the demo text. Paste in your words from Friday. Keep headlines short and clear.
  5. Remove what you don't need. Hide sections or pages that don't fit your business. Less is more.
Good to know Don't aim for perfect on Saturday. Aim for complete. You can always polish a live website, but you can't get clients from a half-finished one.
Sunday · launch day

Check, connect and launch

  1. Check it on your phone. Most visitors will see your site on mobile. Scroll every page and fix anything that looks squished.
  2. Test your contact form. Send yourself a message and make sure it arrives.
  3. Add page titles and descriptions. These are what Google shows in search results. Include what you do and where.
  4. Add your policy pages. At minimum a privacy policy, plus refund or terms pages if you sell online.
  5. Connect your domain. Follow your platform's steps. It can take a few hours for the new address to work everywhere.
  6. Launch and share. Tell your clients, update your social bios and email signature, and celebrate.

Done and live beats perfect and parked.

FAQ

Questions we hear often

Do I need to know how to code?

No. Our WordPress templates are edited visually with the free Elementor builder, and our Shopify themes in Shopify's theme editor.

What if I don't have professional photos yet?

Use the best photos you have, or good stock photos that match your style, and replace them later. A consistent look matters more than perfect photos.

What if I get stuck?

Every template comes with instructions. If you'd rather skip the setup completely, we can install it for you.

Can I change things after launch?

Yes, as often as you like. Your website should grow with your business.
